According to Facebook, it's been three years since I posted commissioned artwork of a character from my-novel-in-progress, "The Dragon and the Doll". The same novel I vaguely thought was Too Internet, too complicated, but I was fixated on getting it done and submitting for tradpub. I finally started querying last spring, but got cold feet when all replies were form letters and I started to see the cracks. Again. I was jumping the gun in trying to get others interested, because a final draft wasn't on the way and isn't anymore. It does hurt, when I did all the legwork to get feedback and research and wrote draft after draft, only to figure it wasn't ready even after that. I'm also no spring chicken and hoped to get something started before now. I still have ideas for salvaging it, but I'm working on other stuff now. At the moment I can't even think about recycling or re-inventing any of the concepts because I'm still stuck on them.
